1 Aims
(1) 場所を表す表現や場所を尋ねる表現に親しみ、部屋作り活動を楽しむことができる。
(2) 場所を表す表現に着目しながら、絵本"Where's Spot?"の読み聞かせを聞くことができる。

月カード、曜日カード、天候カードを使いながら、HRTと一緒に発話してみる。
5 2 Activity 1
<絵本の読み聞かせ>("From Head to Toe")
Do you know this story?
  1. 体の部位や指示を示す動詞を強調し、ジェスチャーを加えながら、読み聞かせる。
  2. 左ページをHRTが読み聞かせ、右ページ(I can do it!)は子供たちに読ませる。
右ページのI can do it!はジェスチャーを入れながら、言わせるようにする。
5 3 Activity 2
<This is my house.>
(HRTの家の間取り図を拡大し、黒板に提示する。)
Come up here and sit down.(黒板の前に子供を集める。)
Look at this picture. Can you guess what it is?
This is my house. My house is in Niigata City, you know.
This is the first floor. How many rooms are there? There are 4 rooms on the first floor.
Here is the entrance and here is the hallway. Here is the living room. I have a sofa and I usually watch TV in this room. Here is the diningroom. I have one table and four chairs and I have a breakfast and a dinner in this room. Here is the kitchen. My wife cooks here, but I never cook. Here is the toilet and here is the bathroom.
OK, go up to the stairs. This is the second floor. I have five rooms on the second floor. Here is the study. I have many books and I read them in this room. Here is the bedroom. I sleep in this room every night.
Do you have any questions? Do you want to come to my house?
間取り図を指し示したり、ジェスチャーを加えたり、絵を示したりしながら、子供たちが英語を類推しやすい状況をつくってやるように留意する。

子供からは、日本語で質問を受け、HRTはできる限り英語で答える。

<自分の部屋を作ろう>
Let's make your room!
(1F、2F、2枚のワークシートを提示)
Which floor do you want? Choose 1 floor.(1枚を選ばせる。)
(家具&グッズワークシーを配布)
There are many things on this sheet. You can choose anything you need. Cut it out with your scissors and put it on the sheet. You may have 12 minutes. Do you have any questions? OK. Let's begin.
『スーパーえいごリアン』テキストのワークシートを使用する。
自分の部屋を1Fに作りたいか、2Fに作りたいかを選ばせる。

12分程度で作業をさせる。HRTは机間巡視をしながら、Do you need a computer?等と尋ねて回る。

時間が余っている子供には、家具に色を塗らせる。

<自分の部屋を紹介しよう>
Can you introduce your room? I ask some questions and you answer.
How many things do you have? Do you have a TV? Do you have a desk? Do you have a piano? Do you have a computer? Do you like this room?
HRTが質問をし、それに答えさせる形で部屋の紹介を行う。

場所を表す表現や場所を問う表現に留意させながら、絵本の読み聞かせを聞かせるようにする。
