The WTA board will determine in March how often she will be allowed to play in the WTA tour events this year. Sunday, 23 January, 2000 - Australian Open Miss Dokic and her partner Jennifer Capriati advances to the 3rd round in the women's doubles of the Australian Open 2000. In the next round, they will face the Belgian pair of Els Callens and Dominique Van Roost, who defeated the French pair of Alexandra Fusai and Nathalie Tauziat (seeded 4th) in the 2nd round. The opponent pair of 1st round in the mixed doubles has been replaced by another Australian pair of Catherine Barclay, a Sydneysider, and Peter Tramacchi. Miss Dokic and her partner Andrew Kratzmann lost the match in straight sets today. -- Miss Dokic learned a lot of things on court and off court last week. They will face Karina Habsudova (SVK) and Anne-Gaelle Sidot (FRA), seeded 15th, in the next round. -- Karina Habsudova is a veteran player, and Anne-Gaelle Sidot is cute. Tuesday, 18 January, 2000 - Australian Open Australian Open 2000 official website notified the doubles draws today. Miss Dokic has paired up with Jennifer Capriati (USA) in the women's doubles. They will face Rosa M. Andres (ESP) and Conchita Martinez Granados (ESP) in the 1st round. She has paired up with Andrew Kratzmann (AUS) in the mixed doubles. They will face Rachel McQuillan (AUS) and Andrew Florent (AUS) in the 1st round. Monday, 17 January, 2000 - Australian Open Miss Dokic lost her 1st round match in 3 sets to Rita Kuti Kis on the opening day of the Australian Open 2000. Friday, 14 January, 2000 - Australian Open Australian Open 2000 official website notified the singles draws today. Miss Dokic will play Hungarian Rita Kuti Kis in the 1st round before facing Virginia Ruano-Pascual (ESP) or Kveta Hrdlickova (CZE) in the 2nd round. She has met Rita Kuti Kis in the doubles match of Estoril Open in April 1999.

Wednesday, 29 December, 1999 - Hopman Cup The Age (Australia) reported that Monica Seles has withdrawn from the Hopman Cup because of a foot injury and has been replaced by Alexandra Stevenson who defeated Miss Dokic in 1999 Wimbledon. Miss Dokic will play to defend the title with partner Mark Philippoussis in the first week of January in Perth.
