According to Tennis Australia official website, Australia was defeated by Russia, 1-2 in the 1st round of the Fed Cup, World Group-C matches in Moscow yesterday.

Thursday, 27 April, 2000 - Fed Cup
According to Eurosport website, Australia was defeated by Belgium, 1-2 in the 1st round of the Fed Cup, World Group-C matches in Moscow today.
Laurence Courtois def. Nicole Pratt, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5.
Jelena Dokic def. Kim Clijsters 7-6 (5), 5-7, 9-7.

Wednesday, 26 April, 2000 - Fed Cup
Tennis Australia official website reported that Miss Dokic and Nicole Pratt will play the singles matches in the 1st round of the Fed Cup in Moscow against the Belgian team tomorrow. Rennae Stubbs and Alicia Molik will team up for the doubles.
According to Eurosport website, France's Amelie Mauresmo has withdrawn from the 1st round of the Fed Cup because of a back injury and has been replaced by Nathalie Dechy.

Sunday, 23 April, 2000 - Fed Cup
Miss Dokic has been named to the Australian Fed Cup team 2000 by the team captain, Lesley Bowrey who was Miss Dokic's personal coach. Australia have been drawn in World Group-C with Russia, France and Belgium for the round-robin series. Group-C matches in the 1st round will be held at Moscow Olympic Stadium on 27-30 April. Each meeting will start with two single matches, followed by a double match.
Tennis Australia has announced that good luck faxes for the Australian Fed Cup team can be sent c/o the team manager, Andrea Buckeridge, at the Sheraton Hotel, Moscow on +007-502-256-3008.

Saturday, 22 April, 2000 - Family Circle Cup
According to The Family Circle Cup official website, Miss Dokic lost the quarter-finals match to Mary Pierce in a straight-sets, 3-6, 1-6.
Family Circle Magazine has announced that the tournament will move to a clay court complex on Daniel Island in suburban Charleston, South Carolina in April 2001.

Friday, 21 April, 2000 - Family Circle Cup
According to The Family Circle Cup official website, Miss Dokic defeated Amy Frazier, 6-2, 6-2 in the 3rd round of singles. She is through to the quarter-finals without losing a set.
She will face No.1 seed Mary Pierce today. The winner will meet either 3rd seed Monica Seles (USA) or 11th seed Ruxandra Dragomir (ROM) in the semi-finals.
-- Miss Dokic has won the 4th round match to Mary Pierce in the singles of Wimbledon Championships in June 1999.

Amy Frazier defeated Brie Rippner 7-6 (2), 7-5. So, Miss Dokic will face " Miss Japan Open " Amy Frazier today. In the quarter-finals, the winner will meet either No.1 seed Mary Pierce (FRA) or Anna Smashnova (ISR).

Miss Dokic and Nicole Pratt will play the 2nd round match today. The winner will face either a qualifier Brie Rippner (USA) or 7th seed Amy Frazier (USA) in the 3rd round.
Miss Dokic and her partner Alexandra Stevenson (USA) advanced to the 2nd round in the doubles, defeating Anne Kremer (LUX) and Meilen Tu (USA), 6-4, 6-3 in the 1st round.

According to The Bausch & Lomb Championships official website, Miss Dokic suffered her 5th loss in a row to Conchita Martinez, 1-6, 4-6 in the 3rd round. Conchita Martinez advanced to the semi-finals, defeating Barbara Schett, 6-4, 6-3 in the quarter-finals.
Miss Dokic will take part in the Family Circle Cup, Tier-1 clay court tournament at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from 17th April.

Saturday, 15 April, 2000 - Bausch & Lomb Championships
The Bausch & Lomb Championships official website notified that Friday's session has been officially canceled. The 3rd round and quarter-finals will take place today on same schedule as Friday.
WTA tour official website and ESPN Network reported that Miss Dokic won the 1st set 6-1 against Conchita Martinez before play was suspended, and Barbara Schett leads Chanda Rubin, 6-0.
CBS Sports Line reported that Conchita Martinez leads 6-1 Miss Dokic, however.

Friday, 14 April, 2000 - Bausch & Lomb Championships
The Bausch & Lomb Championships official website notified that Miss Dokic's 3rd round match with Conchita Martinez had been rescheduled because of rain. They will play today before suitable break for the quarter-final match with Chanda Rubin or Barbara Schett on same court.
Fed Cup team mate Nicole Pratt was defeated by Anna Kournikova, 0-6, 5-7 in the 3rd round.

Miss Dokic advances to the 2nd round in the singles of The Bausch & Lomb Championships, defeating Alina Jidkova in a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-3.
Rita Grande defeated Amy Frazier in full sets, 6-2, 6-7(1), 7-6(5). So, Miss Dokic will meet Rita Grande in the 2nd round. In the 3rd round, the winner will face either Elena Dementieva (RUS) or Conchita Martinez who is seeded 4th and given a bye to the 2nd round.
