Wednesday, 12 July, 2000 - Sydney Olympics
Sydney Olympics Tennis event logo. The ITF advised National Associations and National Olympic Committees the names of players eligible for direct acceptance for the Sydney 2000 Olympic tennis event based on the international rankings of 10 July 2000. -- Miss Dokic ranked #37 for singles.
National Associations and National Olympic Committees will advise the ITF the names of their players selected for the singles and doubles events on 1st August. The women's singles competition will be a 64 draw with not more than 3 players from any 1 country. The women's doubles event will be a 32 draw with not more than 1 team from any 1 country. The Sydney 2000 Olympic tennis event will be held at the NSW Tennis Centre at Sydney Olympic Park, Australia from 19th to 28th September.

Friday, 07 July, 2000 - Wimbledon
According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic lost the semi-finals match to Lindsay Davenport yesterday in straight sets, 4-6, 2-6. To defend the singles title, Lindsay Davenport will play tomorrow against compatriot Venus Williams who defeated her sister, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
According to the post-match interview after losing in the singles, Miss Dokic will take part in 2 hard-court events before U.S. Open - du Maurier Open (Tier1) in Montreal, Canada and Pilot Pen Tennis (Tier2) in New Haven, USA in August.

Thursday, 06 July, 2000 - Wimbledon
According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic and her partner Jennifer Capriati lost their rain-interrupted match in the 3rd round of women's doubles to the 4th seeded pair of Julie Halard-Decugis and Ai Sugiyama yesterday in straight sets, 3-6, 3-6.

Wednesday, 05 July, 2000 - Wimbledon
According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic will play against the defending champion and 2nd seed Lindsay Davenport, and 5th seed Venus Williams will face her younger sister and 8th seed Serena in the semi-finals of singles tomorrow.
-- Miss Dokic has met Lindsay Davenport twice in doubles, at Toyota Princess Cup in September 1999 and adidas International in January 2000.

According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic is through to the semi-finals after posting a straight sets win over Magui Serna, 6-3, 6-2 in quarter-finals of singles today.

Serena Williams (USA) def. Lisa Raymond (USA), 6-2, 6-0
Lindsay Davenport (USA) def. Monica Seles (USA), 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-0
According to the post-match interview after her 4th round match in the singles yesterday, Miss Dokic has parted ways with her coach Tony Roche just before Wimbledon. She had been working with him since September 1999.

Monday, 03 July, 2000 - Wimbledon
The 2nd week of the Championships has started.
According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic defeated Kristina Brandi, 6-1, 6-3 in the 4th round of singles today. She reached the quarter-finals without losing a set, and will meet Magui Serna (ESP) who ousted 3rd seed Mary Pierce (FRA), 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) in the 2nd round.
-- Miss Dokic has won the 1st round match against Magui Serna, 6-1, 6-0 in the singles of Dream Land Egypt Classic in April 1999.

According to Wimbledon 2000 official website, Miss Dokic defeated Brie Rippner, 6-2, 6-1, and Kristina Brandi defeated Anastasia Myskina, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the 3rd round of singles today. Her doubles partner Jennifer Capriati moved into the last 16, too after beating Yayuk Basuki (INA), 7-6 (4), 6-0.
-- She will meet Kristina Brandi again on grass court in a row. They will play to reach the quarter-finals of singles.

Miss Dokic was scheduled for mixed doubles action today with partner Nenad Zimonjic, and they suffered a 4-6, 4-6 loss to Swedish pair of Asa Carlsson and Nicklas Kulti before facing Belgian pair of Dominique Van Roost and Tom Vanhoudt in the 2nd round.
