According to the U.S. Open 2000 official website, Miss Dokic and her partner Amanda Hopmans progressed to the 2nd round yesterday, fighting back after losing the 1st set to defeat Julie Pullin and Yuka Yoshida, 0-6, 7-5, 6-2.
She will play her 2nd round match against Miriam Oremans in the singles today.
CBS SportsLine reported that her father was removed from the grounds at the Flushing Meadows yesterday as a result of abusive behaviour in the player lounge, and will not be permitted back on the grounds. WTA Tour will reportedly make some decision about this matter after the U.S. Open.

The U.S. Open 2000 official website announced the mixed doubles draw. Miss Dokic is not there.
She is scheduled for the women's doubles action today with partner Amanda Hopmans who lost to a qualifier Gloria Pizzichini (ITA), 7-6 (7), 6-0 in the 1st round of singles.
Her Olympic tennis teammate Alicia Molik defeated Denisa Chladkova (CZE) in a straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 yesterday.
Tuesday, 29 August, 2000 - US Open
The final Grand Slam of the millennium started yesterday.
According to the U.S. Open 2000 official website, Miss Dokic is through to the 2nd round of singles after posting a straight sets win over Anna Smashnova, 6-1, 6-0 today. Meanwhile, Miriam Oremans (NED) ousted the 16th seed Julie Halard-Decugis (FRA), 6-3, 6-4. So, Miss Dokic will play Miriam Oremans in the next round.
-- Miss Dokic has won a 1st round match against Miriam Oremans, 6-4, 6-3 in the singles of Heineken Trophy in June 2000.
Friday, 25 August, 2000 - US Open
The U.S. Open 2000 official website announced the women's doubles draw yesterday. Miss Dokic has paired up with Hollander clay court player Amanda Hopmans in the women's doubles. They will play Julie Pullin (GBR) and Yuka Yoshida (JPN) in the 1st round. The winner will face either the 6th seed French pair of Alexandra Fusai and Nathalie Tauziat or a pair of Katalin Marosi (HUN) and Lorna Woodroffe (GBR). -- Miss Dokic has played a singles match against Amanda Hopmans in the Generali Ladies Open in October 1999.
The mixed doubles draw is not available.
Thursday, 24 August, 2000 - US Open
The U.S. Open 2000 official website announced the singles draws yesterday. Miss Dokic will play her opening round match of singles against Anna Smashnova (ISR) in the bottom quarter of the draw. The winner will face either Miriam Oremans (NED) or the 16th seed Julie Halard-Decugis (FRA) in the 2nd round. The doubles draws are not available.
Tuesday, 22 August, 2000 - Pilot Pen Tennis, US Open
According to the Pilot Pen Tennis official website, Miss Dokic and her partner Jelena Kostanic lost to Liezel Horn and Laura Montalvo in the 1st round of doubles yesterday in a full-sets, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7.
The U.S. Open 2000 official website notified that the draw will take place in the media interview room at the USTA National Tennis Center tomorrow. The final Grand Slam Tournament of the year will start on 28th August.

According to the Pilot Pen Tennis official website, Miss Dokic lost in a straight-sets, 4-6, 3-6 to Elena Dementieva in the 1st round of singles yesterday.
Sunday, 20 August, 2000 - Pilot Pen Tennis
Miss Dokic will take part in the Pilot Pen Tennis, Tier-2 hard court tournament at the Connecticut Tennis Center in Yale New Haven, Connecticut, USA from 20th to 26th August.
She will play her opening match today against Russian baseline player Elena Dementieva. The winner will face either Patty Schnyder (SUI) or the 8th seed Julie Halard-Decugis (FRA) in the 2nd round.
-- Miss Dokic has won a semi-final match against Elena Dementieva, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 in the singles of French Open Junior in June 1998.

According to Tennis Canada official website, Miss Dokic and her partner Rennae Stubbs lost to Amanda Coetzer and Lori McNeil in the 1st round of doubles yesterday in a tight full-sets, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-7 (2).
Tuesday, 15 August, 2000 - du Maurier Open
According to Tennis Canada official website, Miss Dokic lost her opening match of du Maurier Open against Sabine Appelmans yesterday in a tough full-sets, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-7 (5). In a 147 minutes-match, she had 42 winners (including 6 aces) compared to Appelmans's 29, and made 63 unforced errors compared to Appelmans's 32.
She is scheduled for doubles action today with partner Rennae Stubbs.
Monday, 14 August, 2000 - du Maurier Open
Tennis Canada official website notified the draws of du Maurier Open yesterday.
Miss Dokic was drawn to play Sabine Appelmans (BEL) in the opening round of singles today, before facing either the 11th seed Anna Kournikova (RUS) or Cara Black (ZIM) in the 2nd round.
Tennis Canada had announced Canada's international women's tennis championships will be known as the Rogers and AT&T Canada Cup beginning with the 2001 tournament in Toronto. The championships alternate annually between du Maurier Stadium in Montreal and the National Tennis Centre at York University in Toronto.
Friday, 11 August, 2000 - Sydney Olympics
The Australian Olympic tennis teams were confirmed today. Miss Dokic will join Nicole Pratt (Qld) and Alicia Molik (SA) as singles players, and Miss Dokic will play doubles with Rennae Stubbs (NSW). Lesley Bowrey and Tony Roche, who are her former personal coaches, will be Australian team coaches at the Olympics.
The Australian Olympic Committee confirmed that Miss Dokic signed a 2000 Australian Olympic Team Membership Agreement.
1) She was agreed to live outside the players village during the event because she is living nearby.
2) She is not required to attend the closing ceremony because she will play in Tokyo the following day.
3) Her father will be at the matches to watch her play but not in an official role.

The ITF's Olympic Committee announced its selection of wild cards for the 2000 Olympic Tennis Event. Alicia Molik has received a wild-card entry into the women's singles event after failing to qualify for automatic nomination.

The ITF announced the list of outstanding players who will participate in the Sydney Olympic Tennis Event yesterday. Miss Dokic will be joined by Nicole Pratt in the singles and Rennae Stubbs in the doubles to represent her country.
Tuesday, 01 August, 2000 - Sydney Olympics, Florida
Sports Today reported that Miss Dokic wants to play in the Sydney Olympics, provided organizers meet her demands. She wants to be able to leave the athletes' village and return to her home if eliminated early in the Olympic tennis tournament. She is also concerned that she will not be able to use her own sponsors' clothing (Fila) and equipment at the games, where competitors are required to wear official uniforms (Nike). And, it has been reported that she also requested her father be on court during the event as her personal coach. - Australian Olympic women's tennis coach is Fed Cup team captain and her former personal coach Lesley Bowrey. The Australian Olympic Committee is working with her management on her concerns about signing the official letter of agreement.
According to Jelena-Dokic.com website, Tennis Match Magazine Online reported in the article from August 2000 issue that Miss Dokic is training at the Harry Hopman Tennis Academy / Saddlebrook Resort in Florida, USA. She seems to have planned to stay and has bought a house at the resort.
