Saturday, 30 December, 2000 - adidas International
The SportsToday.com suggested in a article on 27th December a possibility that Miss Dokic would participate in the adidas International tennis tournament running from 7th to 13th January, 2001 at the NSW Tennis Centre at Sydney Olympic Park, Australia. However, any report can not be found after that, and the official website also has not notified any comments about this matter.

Thursday, 28 December, 2000 - Watson's Water Challenge
The Watson's Water Challenge 2001 official website revised today the draws and the schedule for the 1st round. Anke Huber (GER) seems to withdraw from this exhibition in Hong Kong due to injury and has been replaced by Chanda Rubin (USA).

Monday, 25 December, 2000 - WTA Rankings
The WTA Tour released today the new singles rankings based on the best 17 tournaments that a player has played in the last 52 weeks, replacing the best 18 system that had been in use since 29th December, 1997. The doubles ranking system was similarly changed from best 14 to best 13. Miss Dokic ranked up to No.24 in the singles under the best 17 system. This is her highest-ever ranking in the WTA Tour.

Saturday, 23 December, 2000 - Kim Clijsters, Watson's Water Challenge
Photo quoted from Medienpublikation.de website. According to the WTA Tour webboard member Maeike, Miss Dokic seems to team up with Belgian teenager Kim Clijsters in 2001. Maeike reported yesterday from Belgium on the webboard " I heard Els Callens say on the radio that she asked Kim to team up with her, but Kim told her she had already an agreement with an Australian player ". -- " an Australian player " may be Miss Dokic, but not sure. Kim Clijsters, who often paired up with Laurence Courtois in 2000, had paired up with Miss Dokic several times in their junior days.

Thursday, 21 December, 2000 - Australian Open
The Australian Open 2001 official website announced that the seeds will be available on 11th January, the women's singles draw will be conducted on 12th January, the women's doubles draw will be announced on 16th January, and the mixed doubles draw will be announced on 18th January, 2001. The first Grand Slam tournament of the new millennium will be held from 15th to 28th January (Qualifying : 11-14 January) at the Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia.

Sunday, 17 December, 2000 - Tony Roche
Photo quoted from TennisBullet.com website. The Sunday Telegraph reported today that Tony Roche, the new director of coaching for Tennis Australia, said that he has no problem in guiding Miss Dokic. He reportedly said: " I don't hold any grudges and if Jelena comes along and asks me to help, then I'm only too happy to do that. " and, " If Jelena is representing Australia, " then he is prepared to assist her on an individual basis as he did in the past.

Friday, 15 December, 2000 - Fed Cup
The SportsToday reported today that Australian Fed Cup captain Lesley Bowrey will meet Miss Dokic after Christmas to get a definitive answer on her availability for playing Fed Cup next year.
The ITF is yet to announce whether Australia will be in the world group or back in the Asia-Oceania qualifying group in a new format next year.

Wednesday, 13 December, 2000 - Australian Open, Tony Roche
The Daily Telegraph reported today that Australian Open tournament director Paul McNamee confirmed yesterday Miss Dokic had nominated to the Australian Open 2001. She is expected to miss the adidas International tournament in January because of the WTA's age eligibility rule, so she has no other commitments prior to the Open other than an exhibition match in Hong Kong. She is reportedly working out at her Florida base now.
Her former coach Tony Roche will be named the director of tennis at Homebush Bay (base of Tennis NSW) tomorrow to help identify talent needed for Australia after finishing his role as coach in the Australian Davis Cup team.

Monday, 11 December, 2000 - World TeamTennis All-Star Smash Hits
According to the Georgia Tennis Association official website and Mr.Mark Newman on the WTA Tour webboard, Miss Dokic will participate in the 8th Annual DuPont World TeamTennis All-Star Smash Hits Charity Exhibition, which will be held on 14th December 2000 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, USA. This celebrity event, in conjunction with hosts Elton John and his friend Billie Jean King, is expected to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and AIDS Atlanta. Miss Dokic, along with Jennifer Capriati, has been called up to replace an injured Monica Seles and Lindsay Davenport. Other players are Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Todd Woodbridge, Luke Jensen, Mary Pierce and Mariaan De Swardt. Elton John and Billie Jean King will coach 2 teams (each consists of 2 men, 2 women and a coach). Saturday, 09 December, 2000 - Dream Match 2001
The Entertainment Plus Inc. corrected today the list of participants for the Dream Match 2001 in Osaka, Japan.
It seems that Miss Dokic will not take part in the exhibition. The ticket information website announced the draw for the singles matches.
Amanda Coetzer (RSA) vs. Chanda Rubin (USA) --- Anke Huber (GER) seems to be replaced.

Monday, 04 December, 2000 - Tennis Australia
The Daily Telegraph reported today that Tennis Australia president Geoff Pollard has written to Miss Dokic in an attempt to convince her to continue representing Australia. He reportedly said: " So far she has represented us whenever asked to with distinction and I suspect some of the reports were exaggerated. "
Miss Dokic has ranked up to No.25 in the singles and No.50 in the doubles today. Both are her highest-ever rankings in the WTA Tour.
