Saturday, 07 February, 2004 - Toray Pan Pacific Tennis
Miss Dokic was defeated by the 2nd seeded Lindsay Davenport, 1-6, 0-6 in Saturday's semi-finals of the 2004 Toray Pan Pacific Open, posting her 9th consecutive loss to the defending champion. She appeared on court yesterday with her left thigh bandaged. She reportedly said: "I had my left leg strained two days ago in my second round match and I was very doubtful even yesterday... But it was a little bit an easier match, I knew if I just hit the ball yesterday, I can get through the match, which I did... But with Lindsay, it was a different story, she serves well and plays completely different. If I'm not 100 percent and cannot move against her, it makes it difficult." I hope it is not so serious injury and wish she will make a complete recovery soon... I failed in the videotape recording of the match, so I am not sure about the following score-lines.
