Sunday, 24 October, 2004 - Generali Ladies Linz, Bell Challenge, Swisscom Challenge
It is likely that Miss Dokic has ended her 2004 season. She will not play in the 2004 Generali Ladies Linz this week and Bell Challenge in Quebec City next month. Her name had been erased from the players lists of both events.
Although it has not been confirmed yet, she seems to be going to change her home, coach, manager, racquet deal and clothing contract. According to the some news articles from Belgrade (here), she reportedly left Monte Carlo and has already returned to Belgrade to live with her family again.
Unseeded Australian Alicia Molik enjoyed the best Tour result of her career last week. She won her first tier-1 title and third career title on Sunday by upsetting the 4th-seeded Maria Sharapova, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the final of the 2004 Swisscom Challenge in Zurich.
