 Raw PowerIggy & The Stooges/Raw Power (1973/1997)

A masterpiece of loud rock/proto-punk. Sounds like a keen-edged knife. Includes 'Search and Destroy' and 'Gimme Danger'. The original version mixed by David Bowie. The remix version by Iggy Pop himself was released in 1997.
The Best of IncognitoIncognito/The Best of Incognito (2000)

A best compilation album of Incognito, the British acid jazz project formed in London in 1979 with Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick as the leader. Danceable and sophisticated sound based on the 1970s soul/jazz/funk/fusion. The 1991 single "Always There (David Morales remix)", released on DJ Gilles Peterson's Talkin' Loud label, is a Top Ten hit in the U.K. Also features "Still a Friend of Mine" , "Everyday", "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing" (a cover of Stevie Wonder), "Deep Waters", "Spellbound and Speechless (edit)", "Roots", and "A Shade of Blue (edit)". The last track "Talkin' Loud" is a live version from the Japanese album "Last Night in Tokyo: Incognito Live".
 LifeInspiral Carpets/Life (1990)

The third most popular band in the late 1980s and early 1990s 'Madchester' scene (a music scene in Manchester, England. Based on the rave culture, it mixed dance music such as acid-house and indie rock), after the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays. Their debut album. The sound featuring Hammond organ is like the 1960s garage rock. Features "This is How it Feels" (#14 on the UK charts) and "She Comes in the Fall" (#27 on the UK charts).
 AnticsInterpol/Antics (2004)

An American rock band formed in New York City in 1997, Interpol's second album (#15 on the US album charts. #21 on the UK album charts). Sold over 500,000 copies as the sum of Us and UK. The sound is just like the UK post-punk/new wave bands of the early 1980s, such as Joy Division and the Chameleons. Dark and beautiful indie guitar rock featuring melancholy melodies. Includes singles, "Slow Hands" (#36 on the UK charts), "Evil" (#18 UK), and "C'mere" (#19 UK).
 Iron MaidenIron Maiden/Iron Maiden (1980)

One of the representative bands of so-called NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) movement happened in the heyday of punk/new wave, from the late 1970s to early 1980s. The leader is the bassist Steve Harris. The debut album released when Paul Di'Anno was the lead vocalist. High-speed heavy metal mainly composed of punkish guitar/bass riffing. Very influential for later thrash/speed metal.
 3 + 3The Isley Brothers/3 + 3 (1973)

A soul/funk group from Ohio, USA, the Isley Brothers' 1973 masterpiece. The lead vocalist, Ronald Isley's soulful vocals and melodic, pop-oriented songs are great. Features a hit single "That Lady" (#6 on the US charts), "What It Comes Down To" and "If You Were There". "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" is a cover of James Taylor. "Listen To the Music" is a cover of the Doobie Brothers. "Summer Breeze" is a cover of Seals & Crofts.
